We currently have an exciting opportunity for an energetic, and enthusiastic customer and safety-focused Permanent Night Campus Support Officer working at a highly regarded University Campus in Geelong. Reporting to the Security Manager, the purpose of the Permanent Night Campus Support Officer position is to provide for the safety and security of persons, premises, and assets of the site, whilst providing exceptional customer service to all our customers and stakeholders.The Security Officer responsibilities include (but not limited to):Provide exceptional customer service to all stakeholdersConduct regular foot patrols of the site and its assetsPerform unlock and lock up of access points within the siteMonitor, control and maintain CCTV, access control and BMS systemsOperation of fire systemsIncident response, resolution, and reportingManagement of contractors and visitors onsite12-hour shifts - Permanent nights (must be available 24/7)What You''ll Bring (experience required)Minimum 2 years security experienceVIC Security Licence (Unarmed, Crowd Control & Monitoring)Current First Aid & CPRWorking with children check (employee) or willing to apply for oneCurrent knowledge of work health and safety and risk management practicesKnowledge of current industry standards and requirementsProven experience in emergency response proceduresHighly developed customer service skillsExcellent written and oral communication skillsPrevious experience in operation of systems within a Control Room environment including CCTV, Access Control and BMS an advantage but not essential.Proven ability to understand, interpret and follow policies, procedures, and instructionsHigh level of computer skills (including all Microsoft products)More than anything, you''ll bring a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes for our clients.Why Downer?At Downer, we plan, create, and sustain essential public services across Australia and New Zealand.
