The OpportunityThe Kids Research Institute Australia is committed toimproving child health outcomes through high-impact, community-centredresearch. Our HealthySkin Team play an important role in achieving this vision with a wide rangeof projectsthat discover, treat and prevent infectious diseases, with a focus on thehealth of kids and families in Aboriginal communities.The Healthy Skin team is looking for a Project Coordinatorwith clinical and/or research experience to play a central role in thisAboriginal Health Practitioner-led program, while also contributing to otherlocal skin health research projects coordinated by the Healthy Skin Team.About the SHARE Program: SHARE is a culturallysensitive skin health screening program for Aboriginal children admitted toPerth Children''s Hospital. The program aims to provide high-quality skinassessments while integrating research and service delivery to improve skinhealth outcomes.The Project Coordinator will work closely with clinicians,community representatives, and research investigators to ensure smooth programoperations, including management of ethics and governance processes,documentation, and project coordination.Some of your responsibilities will include, but not belimited to:Coordinating day-to-day operations for the SHARE Program and supporting other skin health research projects within the Healthy Skin portfolio.Preparing and submitting ethics and governance applications, amendments, and reports in line with local policies (HREC, WAAHEC, RGS and equivalent).Maintaining essential documentation, site files, and project records.Supporting communication and knowledge translation activities, including the development of culturally appropriate study materials and promotion of SHARE to stakeholders.Conducting or assisting with site initiation, monitoring and closeout visits.Contributing to workshops, training, and team meetings to support project implementation and continuous improvement.Contributing to research dissemination through conference submissions, reports and presentations.This positionwill be offered on a full-time basis, working 37.5 hours per week and will bebased at our office in Nedlands with the option for flexible workingarrangements. About YouThis is a greatopportunity if you enjoy working in a collaborative, purpose-driven researchteam and have the following skills and experiences:Essential:Experience coordinating clinical trials or research programs.Experience preparing ethics and governance submissions and reporting to regulatory bodies.Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.Experience with data management, including electronic data capture systems e.g. REDCap.Interest in dermatology, paediatric infectious diseases, Aboriginal health and/or community-focused research.Desirable:Experience supporting research outputs (reports, posters, abstracts) and grant writing.Familiarity with Canva or tools for consumer-facing or culturally safe resources.Experience assisting with training, workshops, or capacity-building activities.At The Kids Research InstituteAustralia, we are committed to building a workplace culture thatreflectsthe communities we serve.
