Working closely with our diverse community, this role plays a key part in ensuring equitable access to services, facilities, and programs. The position also provides essential support in delivering City of Darwin''s Access and Inclusion Strategy As a Community Development Officer, you will:Work as part of a committed and welcoming team within the Community and Cultural Services branch of the City of Darwin.Provide specialist expertise in the development, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of current and future Access and Inclusion Strategies.Collaborate with government and non-government organisations, community groups, individuals, and internal stakeholders to initiate and deliver community development initiatives.Prepare comprehensive, high-quality reports and present findings to the Access and Inclusion Advisory Committee.Represent the City of Darwin on relevant external network groups including the DiversAbility Collective.Support and contribute to the successful implementation of the City of Darwin Access Strategy To be considered for this role, you will have:Diploma in Community Services or similar qualifications and/or equivalent qualifications and/or a minimum of three (3) years'' experience in a similar role.Class C Drivers LicenceNT Working With Children Check.Ability to obtain a National Police Records CheckWhy join us?At City of Darwin, we''re passionate about building and sustaining a high-performance culture that motivates our people to deliver exceptional results.
