This role is based in Moruya.This is a unique opportunity to join of a newly established team responsible for maintaining vegetation near Essential Energy''s electricity distribution network to ensure safety, reliability, and compliance with environmental and regulatory standards.About the roleThe Vegetation Treatment Worker is responsible for performing prescribed vegetation maintenance activities near high and low voltage overhead and underground assets. This includes cutting, clearing, and managing vegetation using appropriate equipment and techniques, as well as supporting customer service activities and operating related plant and machinery.Key ResponsibilitiesUndertake vegetation control activities in accordance with Essential Energy''s Vegetation Management Requirements.Safely perform tree and vegetation clearing around electrical infrastructure.Operate and maintain chainsaws, elevated work platforms (EWPs), and other vegetation management tools.Conduct ground and elevated work in compliance with relevant licences and procedures.Operate vehicles, plant, tools, and safety equipment in line with operational and safety standards.Participate in safety audits, reporting, and training.Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in alignment with Essential Energy''s Code of Conduct.About YouAs a Vegetation Treatment Worker, you will bring practical vegetation management experience, a strong safety mindset, and a collaborative approach to working in the field.
