This role blends deep technical expertise with people leadershipdriving innovation while empowering others.You''ll provide strategic technical direction to optimise asset performance and ensure long-term network resilience. At the same time, you''ll mentor and inspire your team, fostering a collaborative, high-performing culture.This hybrid role (Office/WFH) is based in Southbank, Melbourne, and sits within ourTransmission Asset Managementteam.This role will deliver real outcomes, including but not limited to:Lead the Lines team within Transmission Asset Management, fostering technical excellence and team developmentProvide strategic, technical, and economic advice to guide asset decisions and long-term planningDevelop and deliver CAPEX/OPEX work plans and asset strategies aligned with corporate goalsChampion innovation and out-of-the-box thinking to enhance asset resilience and performanceGuide risk management, compliance, and regulatory submissions for transmission linesOversee condition assessments, scope development, and project initiation to maintain safety and reliabilityLead the creation and refinement of asset specifications, maintenance strategies, and business casesYou don''t need to tick every box; however, we are looking for a good combination of:Degree qualified in Engineering (Electrical or Structural)Significant demonstrated years of engineering design / asset management experienceIn-depth knowledge of equipment, and technologies, with a focus on transmission lines and emerging trends and innovationsDeep understanding of relevant Australian and International standards and industry codes of practice for transmission linesDemonstrated expertise in developing and implementing strategic asset management plans, preferably in a regulated environmentKnowledge of relevant condition monitoring and assessment techniques for transmission linesKnowledge of transmission line design standards and principles and construction experienceProfessional body membership: National Engineering RegistrationA real place to belong.
