Knife & Grill Co @Glenquarie is looking for a qualified Sous Chef to lead the team at our venue located at Glenquarie Tavern ( Macquarie fields).We are a busy bistro and function venue serving high volume of modern Australian menu. We operate multiple venues across Sydney. This is a busy position and will require applicant who has previous experience in a similar role and cuisine. We value teamwork and are looking for a qualified and experienced Chef to join our team.To be successful in this role you must have a minimum 2 years work experience in a busy kitchen environment. Completed Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification as well as knowledge of all kitchen operation, quality assurance and OH&S.About the Role:Your duties and responsibilities include but not limited to the following: Create and prepare high-quality dishes with a focus on innovation and taste to provide unforgettable experience to customers. Oversee kitchen operations and ensure compliance with health and safety standards. Oversee kitchen operations and ensure compliance with OH&S standards Maintain proper and standards of storage of various food items Manage inventory, check stock level and order supplies Check delivery and minimise wastage as well as control food costs. Lead and inspire a team of kitchen staff to deliver exceptional dining experiences. Train new staffs as required. Maintain a clean, hygienic and organized kitchen environment-Should be able to work rotating roster.
