We''re committed to making a positive impact on the world, providing you with diverse learning and working opportunities, and fostering a culture where everyone''s empowered to be their best.The Sheetmetal Fabricator (Utility B Worker) is responsible for duties related to manufacturing industrial grade stainless steel electrical enclosures using grinding, finishing, spot welding, and stud welding processes and equipment to produce products to meet certification requirements and product specifications in a timely and accurate manner Essential DutiesAchieve a grained finish on stainless steel enclosures and components using beltstroke sanders, handheld grinding tools, and finishing equipment.Apply weld studs using capacitordischarge and drawnarc weld processes.Apply parts to enclosures and related products using resistancewelding processes and equipment.Start machines and monitor operation to ensure proper performance.Inspect products for visual conformance to specifications and remove defects or defective pieces.Interpret and execute drawings, routers, BOMs, and verbal/written instructions to meet quality standards.Perform internal finishing using abrasive blasting and/or grinding.Work from samples, verbal instructions, written instructions, and standard procedures.Use hand tools, measuring devices, and related equipment.Detect and report faulty equipment, defective material, improper operations, or unusual conditions to supervision.Move materials, skids, and equipment safely using appropriate materialhandling equipment.Support and participate in Lean/5S activities and processimprovement initiatives.Maintain compliance with all Marmon IEI Environmental, Health, and Safety policies.Support activities in compliance with ISO Quality System procedures.Work collaboratively with leads, supervisors, managers, and other Marmon IEI employees.Perform other projects and assigned tasks as required.
