The Interventional Suite accommodates adult & paediatrics patients, for planned & unplanned procedures &/or surgery. It comprises of 14 state-of-the-art operating theatres including a hybrid theatre & a cardiothoracic theatre; 2 Cardiac Catheter Labs; 4 Procedure Rooms; 41 bed Recovery Unit; Anaesthetics Service and state of the art Sterilising Services Department. The service currently operates 7 days, 08:00 to 21:30hrs. Successful applicants will need to demonstrate that they can bring their specialised skills to the scrubbing, scouting and safe treatment of patients.As a Scrub Scout Registered Nurse, your responsibilities will include:Undertaking peri-operative nursing care in accordance with relevant legislationsDeliver evidence based nursing careLiaise with the multi-disciplinary teamEnsure patient and staff safetySupervise, direct and guide nursing team members; Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and (AINs) to deliver patient careProactively assess the perioperative nursing care provided to ensure the best possible outcome is achieved for the individual / patientComplete all required documentation in accordance with local and National PoliciesEssential Criteria:Registered Nurse with AHPRABachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalentPost Graduate Certificate in peri operative (or working towards)Minimum 2 years'' peri operative scrub / scout experienceSound clinical decision making and problem solving skillsClinical expertise and commitment to high quality patient care and continuous improvementSelf-motivated and proven ability to work as part of a high functioning teamPrevious experience within a private hospital setting will be well regardedPassion for delivering quality patient-centred careEmployee Benefits: Our OneHealthscope rewards program gives you access to a range of wellness benefits, discounted Healthscope services for you and your family, salary packaging (via novated lease) and more as well as discounted onsite parking at Northern Beaches Hospital and access to Fitness PassportAbout Northern Beaches Hospital:Operated by Healthscope, Northern Beaches Hospital (NBH) is located in Frenchs Forest, only 13kms north of Sydney CBD.
