Our client located in Western Sydney is a business who offer backup power to large and small businesses, hospitals, schools etc. The role will be very exciting to someone keen to learn new things every day.With its many different models, and available in various specs, our client has the widest range of back-up power generating machines available in Australia.We are seeking a Mechanical Fitter who can do some MIG welding or Trade Assistant with mechanical knowledge, MIG welding & extensive field experience with or without trade qualifications with a sound knowledge and experience in mechanical work to commence ASAP.Welding requires fabricating structures for pump stations, exhaust systems for large power generators. Training and guidance will be provided.Mechanical work will involve installing power generators, generator components, installing fuel systems etc.The position may transition from Casual to Permanent for the right candidate.Work will commence asapDAY SHIFTIf you are a trades assistant with good mechanical skills, welding experience, willing to learn new things and looking for a long-term role, then this will be the job for youWe are keen to hear from you if you have experience in installation of fuel tanks, pipes and associated parts to a power generating source like an electrical generator.To be successful in this role:Must have a valid white card, valid Australian driver''s license and standard PPEMust have full work right o work in AustraliaYou need to have your own transportation as you will have to visits multiple sites. Transportation is paid for if you use your own vehicle or transportation through company vehicleBe willing to travel to ACT (Accommodation, meals will be provided)Must be able to pass security clearance and random drug and alcohol testsBe mechanically mindedSafety consciousHave a passion to fix things and do hands on workExperience within the maintenance, installation industry, especially pipe fitting workHand tools and power tools and MIG welding experienceHave excellent written and verbal communication skillsBe able to work autonomously and as part of a teamIf you already possess any of the following qualifications/tickets will be highly valuable.
