As the successful candidate, you will be a resilient and enthusiastic individual withstrong generalist (HR) human resources,(ER) employee relationsskills & experience.If you also have someL&D(learning and development) experience delivering training, that will be very highly regarded. The role will be supporting the HR Operations for nationally from our head office in Sydney.You will work within adynamic and successful teamwith a passion for people (and having fun) and with the support of a strong management structure. You will beresponsible for supporting the people strategy across our national business, providing sound HR advice and support to managers to improve performance and develop team capabilities, with exposure to all facets of the HR life cycle.What''s in it for you:$120k Base + 12% Super 12-month Fixed-Term Contract (maternity cover contract) A work/life balance organisation - culture-first approachA great learning environment with a local and global teamAccess to the staff discount schemeA wide variety of social activities even a day off for your birthdayBrand new purpose-built office in Alexandria with onsite parking or 4-minute walk from Mascot StationKey Accountabilities:Provide advice based on a good understanding of the law and our HR policiesProvide coaching and support to managers to ensure they carry out people management effectively and fairlyWorking with all stakeholders to ensure that we manage industrial relations effectivelySupport with the negotiation of enterprise agreements as requiredProvide interpretation of the terms of the AgreementsCoordinate the VFO setting process to ensure they are completed on time and in line with organisational goals, utilising Success FactorsCoordinate the employee performance review schedule, including VFO resultsProvide advice, assistance and training to the business on performance management and development issues to ensure fair processes are carried out at all times.What we are looking for:Degree qualificationsin HR, IR, Employment Law or a related discipline.2+ years of post-degree work experiencein a related role.Prior experience inConstruction, Service / Maintenance, Heavy Industrialor Manufacturing industrieswill be highly regarded.SAP HR module experience or similar system highly regardedStrong understanding ofindustrial relations, unions and Australian employment legislationwith demonstrated experience across unionised workforces.Skilled at coaching managersthroughout all aspects of the employee lifecycle.Passion for helping employees be the best version of themselves.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service.Apassion for what you doAbout Schindler:Schindler Lifts Australia is part of the Schindler Group, one of thetop elevator companiesin the world,spanning 100 countrieswith more than64,000 employees worldwide.
