Corrections Victoria operates Victoria''s adult custodial corrections system. Its vision is for Safer Prisons, Safer People, Safer Communities.The Custodial Operations Division within Corrections Victoria is responsible for Operational delivery of custodial services at public prisons and the Judy Lazarus Transition Centre.About the RoleThe Senior Project Officer (Custodial Operations) is responsible for delivering and contributing to a range of strategic projects and work activities that support the division to deliver outcomes. This role will provide support to Assistant Commissioners and the Deputy Commissioner in leading and contributing to work initiatives, resolving complex issues and providing advice.Some of your duties will include:Monitoring project and task progress while proactively ensuring the team is aware and working towards upcoming deadlines and deliverables.Engage and lead sensitive consultations and negotiations with peers, internal and external stakeholders.Prepare briefings, presentations, reports, complex correspondence and proposals to influence stakeholders and on behalf of senior management in a time-pressured environment.To learn more about this role before applying, please read the attached position description.About youTo be successful in this role, you will have:Demonstrated experience in project management or the provision of support within a project-driven environment.Experience in the preparation of high-quality written material along with highly developed information analysis and conceptual thinking.Experience in writing, editing, communication and presentation skills including knowledge of technical documentation principles.Qualifications/requirementsRelevant qualifications in project management, contract management, and/or Correctional experience are highly desirableHow to ApplyPlease click the Apply button on this advertisement.
