Senior Tenant Participation OfficerOngoing/Permanent Full-Time RoleLocation: Southern and Western Sydney region with regular travel/stays to other locations.Clerk Grade 7/8 - $113,574 - $125,720 plus superannuation and leave loadingAbout Homes NSWHomes NSW brings together housing and homelessness services under one roof to deliver more social and affordable housing, end the cycle of homelessness, and provide quality public housing to over 262,000 tenants. We put people at the heart of everything we doour clients and our staff.Your roleWith the focus of enhancing community wellbeing, this role will design, deliver and evaluate engagement initiatives that empower tenants to provide feedback and influence service improvements. Building and managing partnerships between tenants, stakeholders, and Homes NSW the Senior Tenant Participation Officer will strengthen communication, improve service access, and support sustainable tenancies.What you''ll doWith a strong client focus, this role will develop and implement a range of tenant feedback systems, ongoing consultative/advisory arrangements and mechanisms with individual social housing residents, families, organisations (government and non-government) and the local communityThe responsibilities of this role will include, but will not be limited to:Planning and implementing community-based projects and activities to facilitate increased participation of residents in community capacity building and neighbourhood activitiesSupporting the delivery of tenant participation and community engagement planning, development and implementation for a range of projectsAiding in engagement design, stakeholder mapping, coordinating resources, meeting reporting requirements, and supporting relevant related activities, to ensure plans are achieved on time, on budget, to quality standards and within agreed scope in line with agreed work plansProviding accurate progress reporting for tenant participation and community engagement strategiesAssisting in preparing submissions, reports, and correspondence for briefings and presentations to contribute to social plans, provide advice on complex issues, and support informed decision-makingWhat we''re looking forTo be successful in this position, the ideal candidate will have:Relevant qualifications as well as 3-5 years'' experience in tenant participation, community development, or community servicesA valid NSW driving licenceWillingness to travel around to different sites as neededExceptional written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work under tight deadlines and budgets with competing prioritiesAbility to work in adherence to legislation and governing compliance requirementsStrong decision-making skillsAdvanced risk management abilityFor more information about this role, please click here to download the role description.If you are viewing this ad in Seek and wish to apply via their portal, you will be required to either set up a profile or login via your existing Seek account.To apply directly via the DCJ Careers site click here.
