KU James Cahill Preschool, located in Waterloo is within walking distance from both Redfern & Green Square train stations and Sydney buses. The service has been involved in research projects that aim to support educators and families in their understanding of how to nurture children''s social and emotional wellbeing. The service is an extended hours service and opens Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm that offers 48 places to preschool aged children.Children are presented with a range of activities including gardening, arts and crafts, music and movement, physical play, block building, sand and water play, science experiments, early numeracy activities such as counting and measurement, and early literacy activities such as reading, drawing and writing. We acknowledge our physical environments as the ''third teacher'', we want children to be able to dig in the mud, climb trees, discover and learn about insects and enjoy connecting with nature.The RoleWe are looking for aDiplomaqualified educator to join the service on a fixed term contract until February 2027.
