Job DescriptionPart-time (0.6 FTE) | Max-term contract until 30 June 2028Working across multiple schools within the Casey, Cardinia & Dandenong LGAs, on the lands of the Bunurong PeopleSalary dependent upon qualifications and experience + 12% super + Salary Packaging benefits of up to $18,550About the ProgramOur School Services Team works across headspace Dandenong and headspace Hastings to support young people in Victorian government secondary schools. Through the Enhanced Mental Health Support in Schools (EMHSS) program, clinicians provide early intervention, evidence-based mental health support to young people from Years 712.The team delivers a combination of in-person, school-based and telehealth services, ensuring support is accessible, safe and empowering for every young person we walk alongside.Your role, your impactAs a headspace EMHSS Clinician, you''ll be part of a service making a real difference in the lives of young people navigating mild to moderate mental health challenges. Your work helps create safer, healthier learning environments and supports students, families, schools and communities toward better wellbeing outcomes.You will:Deliver evidencebased short- to mediumterm interventions for young people experiencing a range of mental health and psychosocial needsComplete biopsychosocial assessments using tools such as HEADSS, MSE and risk assessmentsCoordinate care and collaborate with families, schools, support networks and external agenciesEquip schools with resources and tools that build positive, mentally healthy learning environmentsProvide early intervention support to reduce the likelihood of future mental health concernsMaintain high-quality documentation and clinical governanceParticipate in supervision, clinical review, and team development to support best practiceThis is your opportunity to support young people during pivotal moments in their developmenthelping them feel seen, heard and supported, now and into the future.Who we''re looking forYou''re someone who cares deeply about creating safe, inclusive spaces for young people. You bring warmth, professional curiosity and a collaborative mindset to your work.You have:Previous experience supporting young people with varied mental health presentationsRelevant tertiary qualification/s in Social Work and/or Counselling and registration (or eligibility for registration)with AASW, PACFA or ACASkills in counselling, assessment, mediation and care coordinationExperience working with communities from diverse cultural, linguistic and social backgroundsAbility to engage with young people, families and school staff with compassion and confidenceA valid driver''s licenceWhat will make you stand outPostgraduate qualifications in a related fieldExperience delivering mental health support in school settingsFamiliarity with evidence-based interventions for adolescents (e.g. anxiety management, self-esteem programs, group work)Experience working in notforprofit or community settingsWhat''s in it for youEach is the Lead Agency for headspace.
