About the roleThe Senior Information Governance Specialist is responsible for providing information governance expertise to support the business to achieve and maintain compliance with relevant Information Management (IM) obligations issued under the NSW State Records Act and other legislative requirements.The role supports the Manager, Information Governance to develop and deliver the IM strategy through collaboration with key business stakeholders to ensure information is managed effectively and securely.This is an exciting opportunity that will see you:As the IM subject matter expert, partner with key divisional stakeholders to undertake detailed analysis, including gathering business process requirements and identifying solutions to operational challenges.Champion, implement and maintain best practice information management, ensuring alignment with organisational needs and compliance with the State Records Act and StandardsDeliver the information retention and disposal program for NSWTG, including managing approvals with Divisions.Designing and mapping Divisional folder structures within M365 applications and Content Manager to the correct retention schedules.Support the IM Compliance Monitoring Program, by leading audits and reviews of information management processes (such as State Records NSW, Records Monitoring Exercise) with relevant Divisions.Develop resources including local business rules and deliver high-quality training to build IM organisational capability that improves NSWTG''s compliance maturity.For more information about the position, view the role description.About youApplication is encouraged if you demonstrate the following skills, knowledge and experience:Someone who is curious, analytical and able to translate complex information management requirements into practical, userfriendly solutions.Experience developing, implementing and supporting information governance frameworks, policies, procedures, retention and disposal programs.Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to communicate confidently with staff at all levels.Strong organisational and timemanagement skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.Sound like you?
