This position is responsible for delivering and continuously enhancing our Responsible Investment and ESG philosophy and framework, ensuring it is effectively embedded across the investment portfolio and where relevant, broader organisational initiatives. Through rigorous research, sound planning, high quality reporting and purposeful engagement, the role ensures our practices remain best in class and aligned with our strategic objectives.What you''ll doPolicy and Strategy: Collaboratively oversee and enhance the responsible investment framework and supporting policies, ensuring the team is kept informed of updates. Maintain a continuous focus on strengthening the Fund''s responsible investment position through a lens of member best financial interests.Research & Implementation: Stay informed on emerging responsible investment issues that may impact the Fund, actively engaging in thought leadership and monitoring best practice. Keep the investment team updated on relevant trends, insights and risks.Selection, Monitoring and Reporting: Oversee, contribute to and manage ESG due diligence and risk assessments ensuring findings are clearly documented and reported to relevant team members and the appropriate Committee for review and decision making.Engagement: Oversee and maintain visibility of the Fund''s proxy voting activities, ensuring all votes are exercised in accordance with the Fund''s policy positions and governance expectations. Oversee and execute engagement activities on behalf of the Fund.Cross-functional ESG initiatives: Lead the investment workstreams required to support the Fund''s compliance with AASB S2, ensuring high-quality inputs, alignment with regulatory expectations, and effective collaboration with Finance and Risk teams. Engage and collaborate with internal stakeholders to implement ESG related initiatives and projects.About youWith deep expertise in responsible investment and ESG integration across public and private markets, you will bring the following key skills:Strong understanding of financial materiality and long-term member outcomes.Proven ability to develop, maintain and operationalise responsible investment and ESG policies, strategies and frameworks within an institutional investment context.Strong skills in the ability to conduct ESG research, assess ESG risks and opportunities, and critically interpret ESG data and ratings.Sound understanding of relevant ESG standards, frameworks and regulatory expectations applicable to superannuation funds (e.g. PRI, TCFD / IFRS S2, SASB, GHG Protocol).Demonstrated experience embedding ESG considerations into investment selection, monitoring, due diligence and reporting processes.Proven experience in active ownership and engagement, including manager engagement, company engagement and proxy voting oversight, as well as strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear, concise and credible ESG advice, reporting and recommendations.Demonstrated ability to lead and deliver ESG initiatives and projects, balancing strategic oversight with hands-on execution.Qualifications at an appropriate level in a relevant discipline (e.g. B.Acc, B.Com, B Econ, LLB etc.) or a proven track record of achievement in the area.The following skills are nice to have but not essential:Experience in climate-related investment analysis, decarbonisation strategies, transition risk and climate scenario analysis.Familiarity with biodiversity and nature-related investment risks and emerging disclosure frameworks.Experience contributing to or leading ESG-related disclosures and reporting to Boards, regulators and members.Experience working with ESG data platforms, analytics tools and external research providers.Prior experience within a superannuation fund or institutional asset owner environment.If you have high levels of professional judgement, integrity and accountability, with a strong member-first mindset, would love to hear from you.We are a super fund that has an exceptional work culture, provides a diverse offering in developing our people and you can be a part of it while earning an attractive remuneration packageInterested and suitably qualified candidates should submit a copy of their updated CV.Please note that to be eligible for this role, you are required to have permanent Australian working rights and residency.We are an equal opportunity employer committed to creating a workplace that values diversity, equity, and respect for all individuals.
