Plascorp, one of Australia''s leading privately-owned manufacturers and distributors of Industrial Ducting, Mine Ventilation, PVC Pipe and Steel Reinforcing solutions, is seeking a skilled Plastics Technician to join our team. In this role you will be responsible for setting up, operating, adjusting and troubleshooting machinery used in the manufacture of PVC pipe and related plastic products, ensuring high-quality standards and efficient production.Key Responsibilities :Set up, operate, adjust and troubleshoot PVC extrusion, granulation and mixing machinery.Load and handle raw materials; perform tooling changes, line changes and machine set-ups.Fabricate and assemble PVC products to specifications, interpreting technical drawings and standards.Conduct quality testing to Australian Standards and ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and ACRS.Perform maintenance, fault-finding and minor repairs to production equipment.Operate and maintain supporting metalworking equipment, including welding and cutting tools, as part of the production process.Operate forklifts and overhead gantry cranes as required.Meet daily production targets, complete production reports and follow OH&S procedures.Actively contribute to continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives.Skills and experience required:Minimum five years'' machine operating experience in plastics or PVC manufacturing (mechanical background preferable).Certificate III in Engineering Mechanical Trade, Polymer Processing, or equivalent qualification strongly regarded.Proficiency in operating metalworking and plastics machinery, including welding equipment, plasma cutters and benders.Current forklift licence desirable.Strong literacy, numeracy, time management and problem-solving skills.Why Join Us?At Plascorp, we offer a dynamic work environment where your contributions make a difference.
