At Thomson Geer we are looking for candidates who are client focused, commercially minded, and who work well in a team environment. We are currently looking for an experienced lawyer at a Senior Associate level to join our Melbourne Property team led by Vicki Sharp on a 9-12 month contract. The team''s focus lies in transactions involving significant property assets including due diligence, commercial and industrial leasing and various land use agreements, capital transactions and commercial, industrial and mixed use developments (including structuring advice). The Requirements: To be successful in this role you will have: experience in and exposure to complex property and leasing transactions and property development;experience in drafting and negotiating complex agreements and allocating risk in a commercially astute manner;excellent technical, analytical and communication skills, a strong knowledge of the property industry, and the ability to apply such skills and knowledge to deliver prompt and commercially astute advice and outcomes for our clients;excellent matter management skills, with the ability to appropriately scope matters and manage fee estimates and billing;a strong commitment to client service and well-developed relationship management skills, as you will play a key role in supporting and actively developing our relationships with our clients; andthe ability and willingness to mentor and manage junior colleagues and support other team members.What we offer | As a major independent corporate firm we pose an opportunity to work with a strong and established client base, with genuine growth trajectories, and a variety of benefits including: interesting and challenging pro-bono opportunities, flexible working, flu vaccinations and skin checks annually, daily breakfast, corporate discounts, variety of social activities including office based events, EOFY and end of year functions, sporting teams and much more.
