You will undertake a variety of tasks associated with the maintenance of timber, steel and concrete bridge structures, including supporting other trades as required. The role also involves operating a range of equipment and machinery and performing general labouring duties.You will also contribute towards the following responsibilities: Managing routine problems within your scope of work independently by applying your knowledge and following standard guidelines and manuals Operating plant and machinery safely, efficiently and to a high level of skillFor more information on this position and business unit, view the role description and information pack.About youThe successful candidate will bring experience in a similar role, ideally gained within a heavy industrial, construction or maintenance environment. You will have demonstrated capability in performing routine servicing and maintenance on plant and equipment such as compressors, gantries, dust extractors and vehicles, as well as preparing surfaces using hand tools, power tools or abrasive blasting techniques.You will also: Work effectively as part of a team and contribute to a positive, collaborative work environment Communicate clearly and confidently with colleagues, supervisors and trades staff Demonstrate a strong commitment to workplace health and safety Hold a current, unrestricted NSW motor vehicle driver''s licence Hold a current Construction Industry White Card and have a Working at Heights accreditationWe are recruiting for two permanent full time positions, working Monday to Friday within a 38 hour week and a 9 day fortnight. You will also have opportunities for further training and ongoing career development. The salary for each position is Grade 3 Sydney Harbour Bridge Worker $1,390.50 per week plus superannuation. In addition to the base salary, further allowances will be paid when performing relevant tasks.
