Location: Sydney CBD, with hybrid workingconditions in line with DCS Flexible Working PolicyAbout the roleThe Cyber Security Policy Officer works as part of the Strategy, Policyand Government Relations team in Sydney to contribute to cyber securitypolicy and engagement project development. You will provide analysis, advice andrecommendations to support organisational and / or government cyber securityinitiatives and commitments. Ideal candidates will also have experience inproviding administrative support and reporting for the activities of technicalteams. About youProject Delivery: Lead the delivery of cybersecurity projects by applying structured project management methodologies anddriving execution to meet scope, time and quality targets. Produce high-qualitydocumentation to enable informed decisions and ensure successful outcomes.Policy Development & RegulatoryDelivery: Execute policy and regulatory initiatives by managing timelines, priorities andstakeholder expectations and produce high-quality brief documentation to driveevidence-based policy development.Policy Advice & Operational Support: Promptly respond to policyqueries with accurate, consistent advice that supports organisationalobjectives.Research, Analysis & Reporting: Conduct research and analysisto generate evidence-based reports that inform policy and strategic decisions.Stakeholder Engagement &Relationships: Buildand maintain strong stakeholder relationships to enable timely advice andcoordinated service delivery.Issues Identification & Resolution: Proactively identify andassess emerging issues, implementing timely resolutions to minimise risk andmaintain progress. Enable informed, forward-looking decisions through earlyintervention and problem-solving.Governance: Embed best practice governanceby enhancing policies and processes that strengthen compliance and efficiency.EssentialrequirementsAbility to stay abreast of emerging issues, risks and opportunities impacting cyber security within NSW Government and nationally, while providing timely and relevant advice on emerging topics or issues.Skilled in coordinating multiple projects simultaneously within defined timeframes and in an environment of conflicting and changing priorities, ensuring support whilst delivering against agreed activities and objectives.Possess strong communication and interpersonal skillsDemonstrated experience in building and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships to deliver timely advice and consistent services that achieve organisational objectives.An Australian Citizen, including the ability toobtain and maintain a Baseline or higher National Security Clearance and undergo a compulsory Police Check.Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications or equivalent professional experience in policy development, strategy, or Information Technology (IT).
