Supported Independent Living (SIL) House Manager - Full-timeJob PurposeThe SIL House Manager performs an integral role in ensuring the effective operation of our SIL house. Responsible for the development, maintenance and review of individualised support plans in consultation with the customer, their family, guardians and key health professionals. Supporting the team to ensure the provision of quality and compliance for services delivered and Customer satisfaction at all times. This position is available for an immediate start.Key ResponsibilitiesOverseeing the day to day operation of the SIL HouseUnderstands customer service needs or preferences ensuring all relevant information is accessible for team members and service providersEnsures the team provide appropriate information to the customer regarding the service agreement, including the customer handbookEnsures the team develop strategies which will address the identified needs of the customer in consultation with their representative/s where appropriate in accordance with funding guidelinesEnsure support plans are monitored and reviewed on a regular and ongoing basis and in response to changes in the customer needsEnsure services are delivered are in line with the person centred and consumer directed principlesEnsure the team assist customers to access other alternative services where the services are no longer meeting their needsLiaise with relevant community based agencies and service providers to ensure an integrated and cohesive approach to service delivery and the ensure standards are met in accordance with program objectivesProvide advocacy when necessary on behalf of clientsRepresent Just Better Care at external forums and meetingsIdentify and participate in personal professional developmentEnsures all policies, procedures and processes are administered in accordance with Just Better Care''s Business Operating SystemAble to assist with direct customer supports as requiredPerforms other related duties as requiredMeet weekly with NDIS manager and Team LeaderWork in partnership with our participants to support their individual needs in their home and community.Provide leadership and daily guidance to the support team.Ensure SIL Staff rosters are in place and that compliance is up to dateSelection CriteriaSound knowledge and experience across NDIS and SIL/SDA housing.Experience or a Qualification in Community Services, Human Services, Nursing or equivalentCurrent First Aid & CPRCurrent and clear NDIS workers screening & Blue CardAbility to liaise with Health Care Practitioners and Allied HealthPrevious experience supervising, supporting and training staffAbility to work flexibly to respond to changing customers'' needExperience working within a multi-disciplinary teamHighly developed interpersonal skills, with the proven ability to build effective relationships and communicate with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.Excellent verbal and written communication skillsDemonstrated organisational and time management skillsDemonstrated ability to work as part of a teamAble to effectively use the Microsoft suite of products and other required programs relevant to the roleHold a current open class Australian driver''s licence.Possess a registered & comprehensively insured vehicleWork in partnership with our participants to support their individual needs in their home and community.Provide leadership and daily guidance to the support team.
