We work and collaborate together, face to face in our Barangaroo office.**About the roleYou will contribute to the design and development of our data systems, helping to collect, process, store and retrieve data. You should be passionate about working with huge datasets, eager to learn and contribute to real-time streaming and customer behaviour analytics.You will be someone who loves to bring data together and work on innovative Data Engineering solutions to answer business questions.You should have expertise in the creation and management of datasets, and the proven ability to translate the data into meaningful insights through collaboration with Data Analysts and Data Scientists.In this role, you will work on the development of data engineering solutions to complex questions, collaborating closely with team members and contributing to strategic initiatives.What you''ll doContribute to the design, operations, and improvements for the organisation''s data warehouse infrastructureEngineer solutions to aggregate and automate large-scale data flows from varying sourcesCollaborate with Engineers, Analysts and Scientists in the organisation to construct complex data sources for algorithms and machine learning modelsExplore and learn the latest technologies to provide new capabilities and increase efficiencyBuild real-time streaming from internal and external sources to provide insights into the businessHelp continually improve ongoing reporting and analysis processes, automating or simplifying self-service support for customers.QualificationsKey Skills Required:Highly experienced in SQL - with demonstrated ability to craft efficient and optimised queriesExperience in data engineering, business intelligence, data science, data modelling or related field with a track record of manipulating, processing, and extracting value from large datasetsKnowledge of batch and streaming data architecturesExperience with GCP/AWSExcellent communicator with colleagues from engineering, analytics, and business backgroundsDemonstrated strength in data modelling, ETL development, and data warehousingKnowledge of data management fundamentals and data storage principlesKnowledge of distributed systems as it pertains to data storage and computingDesirable Skills:Experience with SnowplowExperience with Meltano and FivetranExperience with DBTExperience using big data technologies (BigQuery)Experience with PythonKnowledge of Docker, Terraform and Iaas will be a bonusAdditional InformationWhat''s in it for you?We consider our people one of our most important assets, and we want our team to love their working lives When you work for Luxury Escapes, you can look forward to:Excellent Remuneration package20% Discount on Luxury Holidays and ExperiencesBreakfast and lunch are provided 5-days a weekHealth and Well-being programsHackathons1/2 day of bonus birthday leaveA super collaborative team that enjoys creating great platformsIf you''re interested in the role but don''t check every box, apply anyway, we''d love to hear from youWe embrace diversity in our people and make hiring decisions based on your experiences and skills.
