We put the customer and our community at the centre of all that we do, ensuring our services are efficient and accessible.We are seeking an experienced Facility Leader to oversee our flagship civic venue, Town Hall Broadmeadows, and key supporting community facilities within the Southern Precinct of Hume.This is a handson leadership role for someone who thrives in dynamic, communityfacing environments and takes pride in delivering highquality civic and community experiences.What you''ll be doing:Lead operations at Town Hall Broadmeadows as Hume''s flagship civic venue, ensuring it is safe, welcoming, and professionally presented.Provide operational oversight of other designated Community Facilities within the Southern Precinct including civic spaces within the Hume Global Learning Centre Broadmeadows.Coordinate civic functions, events, and community activities, including venue setups, packdowns, and onsite function management.Manage bookings, hirer relationships, contractors, and security arrangements.Develop and implement strategic and operational plans that reflect local priorities and community needs.Oversee WHS, maintenance, and risk management across all facilities.Lead and support facility staff and contractors to deliver highquality customer service.Work closely with internal Council teams and community stakeholders to maximise facility use and community outcomes.The skills and experience you''ll bring to the role:Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the management and operation of community facilities, including supervision of events and functionsClear commitment to community development and working effectively with diverse communitiesDemonstrated financial and administrative capability, including contract management and reporting requirementsWelldeveloped organisational skills with the ability to manage competing prioritiesProven customer service capability, with the ability to engage respectfully with people from diverse backgrounds and culturesDemonstrated ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholdersExperience developing and implementing strategic or action plans within municipal or communitybased settingsStrong verbal and written communication skills, adaptable to a wide range of audiencesRequired Certifications & QualificationsRelevant tertiary qualifications in Community Development, Social Sciences, Recreation, or Venue Management, or substantial relevant experience in the community sector.Current Victorian Driver''s LicenceHow To ApplyIf you require further information about the position, please contactKatrina Rogan, Team Leader Community Facilities (South) at[emailprotected]Applications must include a Resume and covering letter which addresses the required skills and experience outlining your suitability for the role.Why Hume City Council?A leader in local government, we''re committed to creating an inclusive and collaborative work environment that is guided by our values:We''re better, every day: We give things a go and value progress over perfection.
