Youll play a key role in designing, developing, and delivering complex software products and big data solutions. You''ll work closely with cross-functional teams, contribute to product direction, and mentor junior engineers all while having the flexibility to work fully remote or hybrid from our Sydney office.ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop high-performance, scalable software systems across multiple platformsCollaborate with product owners, architects, and engineers to finalize requirements and bring products to lifeImplement and advocate for coding best practices, including test-driven developmentOptimize data pipelines and storage, particularly using Snowflake and KafkaContribute to architectural decisions and mentor junior team membersStay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trendsRequirements5+ years of software engineering experience, ideally in large-scale or enterprise environmentsExpertise in one or more development languages: Java, Golang, Python, SQLProven experience working with big data technologies especially Snowflake, Kafka, and modern data architecturesStrong skills in data modelling, DML, and optimizing data performanceFamiliarity with Agile, test-driven development, and cloud-based deploymentDegree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent hands-on experienceWork in a way that works for youWe promote a healthy work/life balance across the organisation.
