About The Team As part of the Commonwealth-funded Australian Cancer Nursing and Navigation Program (ACNNP), the Cancer Council Federation will deliver a national cancer navigation service, expanding our existing cancer information and support line (13 11 20), to include new digital navigation and support offerings. The vision of the service is to support, inform and empower all people affected by cancer through the provision of compassionate assistance, emotional support and evidence-based up-to-date information, throughout the cancer experience. As part of the project, a single digital platform will be developed, consolidating Cancer Council cancer information and integrating searchable databases of support services and information, personalised user experiences, live chat, and a chatbot. Cancer Council NSW is the business lead for digital navigation, which includes ensuring the platform aligns with the service plan and meets user needs, implementing the Cancer Council Information Strategy, and developing a new National Navigation Service Directory. The role will be based at Cancer Council NSW, within the Cancer Information and Support Services (CISS) Division. CISS aims to empower and support people affected by cancer, so that no one needs to face cancer alone. This Division assists people as they navigate the cancer journey, easing their emotional and practical burdens and helping them make informed decisions. About The Role Collaborating closely with the Director Cancer Information and Support Services, the Manager Cancer Support and Navigation, and the Manager Cancer Information and the Cancer Information Team, this role will ensure the successful delivery of the digital navigation experience for the National Cancer Navigation Service. This is a full-time 2-year contract located at our Woolloomooloo office. Key Responsibilities Of The Role Accountable for ensuring the digital platform meets strategic, operational, and user-centric goals, aligned to the service plan, including engaging stakeholders for input and validation, defining user requirements, managing roadmaps, resolving blockages, and coordinating delivery teams and vendors. Accountable for managing and delivering work packages assigned to the Navigation Knowledge Stream through the full project lifecycle using best practice project management methodologies and in alignment with Navigation Program Management Office policies and systems. This includes the preparation of high-quality project management documentation such as project plans, scope documents, timelines, communication plans, workshop presentations, updates, and reports. Collaborate with the Navigation Technology Project Manager and the technical teams leading the website build and the delivery of other digital tools and capabilities. Collaborate with other Project Managers and subject matter experts across the Federation working on the Project. Work with Cancer Council Australia Project Management Office to enable the recruitment and selection of contracted staff and suppliers/agencies to deliver work packages. Work closely with CCNSW Managers and Cancer Information team to manage contracted suppliers/agencies and ensure they meet their deliverables to time and budget. Working with project team members including allocating activities, mentoring, and managing the performance of project work. Oversee budget and risk management processes for the knowledge projects. Manage ongoing reporting to the Cancer Council Australia and Cancer Council NSW Project Management Offices. Prepare reports and papers for the Steering Committee and other governance forums. Adhere to all CCNSW internal policies and external legislations, including but not limited to Privacy Act, PCI Compliance, Charitable Fundraising Act requirements, and financial controls. Contribute to the documentation of internal policies and processes. Essential About you More than 5 years experience in senior project management or program implementation in a complex operating environment. Extensive experience leading enterprise-wide digital transformation initiatives, with a strong focus on enhancing customer experience, streamline operational workflows, and integrating innovative technologiesparticularly within the health care and cancer sectors. Proven experience in the development and delivery of change management strategies. Critical analysis and strategic thinking skills, including the ability to synthesise information, explore problems and develop solutions. Experience identifying, engaging, and collaborating with a range of internal and external project stakeholders to achieve project outcomes. Effective communication and interpersonal skills with proven ability to build rapport and facilitate trusting and credible relationships, including with senior management. Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and organisational priorities. Strong problem-solving and communication skills. Desirable Experience working in the health care or cancer sector. Experience working in digital publishing.
