We uphold Equal Employment Opportunity Principles and provide reasonable accommodations to all applicants.Job DescriptionThe primary role of the E2E Solution Architect is to craft the solution architecture for Programs/Projects and oversee all design aspects of development and delivery in GIT. This role reports to the Associate Director, Architecture and is responsible for new development and enhancements to applications within the CS domain, alignment of solutions across other IT domains, and ensuring end-to-end operability in accordance with IT strategic standards.The Solution Architect should have a detailed understanding of enterprise and core domain strategy, ensure Core projects conform to roadmaps, and provide a mentoring role for solution designers within the domain. The Architect will be a broad knowledge expert for the large number of applications within the Core domain and collaborate on solutions spanning other IT domains and Networks. The Architect must adopt Cyber Security and Operational Resilience by design.ResponsibilitiesCraft and develop the E2E Solution Architecture and ensure alignment with business goals.Oversee all solution architectural aspects of program development and delivery.Review requirements to ensure functionalities are future-proofed and extensible.Ensure alignment with standards and industry best practices on cyber security and operational resilience.Translate business requirements into system qualities and high-level component/interface designs.Design architecture models with modular decomposition enabling specialist-built modules.Manage dependencies between application components.Analyse impact of change requests and provide recommendations.Set design goals and review designs for quality and operational controls.Establish performance goals and ensure designs meet requirements.Govern and review data schema design for data reuse and balance centralization vs replication.Establish transition architecture for migration periods.Draft Service Level Agreements post-implementation as needed.Balance quality, cost, robustness and constraints; ensure architecture supports deployment and sustainment.Identify and mitigate architecture risks; document decisions for stakeholders.Ensure key KPIs are met and work autonomously.ModernisationRecommend technology, standards and tools; lead evaluation of vendor software and tools.Guide micro-service architectures and develop container-based architectures that are CI/CD-ready.Drive TMForum Open API implementations and develop POCs with key vendors.Architect solutions on public cloud (AWS, GCP) and private cloud; develop architectural metrics for executives.Ensure adherence to principles set by Enterprise Architects and participate in technology roadmaps, RFIs/RFPs.Champion operational process improvements.PeopleProvide mentoring for less experienced team members and establish best design practices.Conduct peer reviews and engage in knowledge-sharing sessions.QualificationsWork rights and background checks: Applicants must have valid work rights for Australia and be willing to undergo comprehensive background checks, including probity and police checks.Other requirements: Seniority level Mid-Senior level; Employment type Full-time; Job function Information Technology; Industries IT Services and IT Consulting.Additional InformationWe value growth and development, offering a global learning program and mentoring by industry experts.
