About the Opportunity Were seeking experienced Senior Mechanical Engineers and Leaders to join our team in Osborne, South Australia. In this role, youll provide technical expertise and leadership across complex mechanical engineering projects, ensuring designs meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and performance. Youll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to innovative solutions that drive project success. Responsibilities Deliver mechanical engineering expertise for complex systems and projects. Provide technical leadership and mentoring to engineering teams. Ensure compliance with engineering principles, safety and regulatory standards, and customer requirements. Develop and review mechanical documentation, including calculations, specifications, and reports. Maintain strong communication with internal and external stakeholders in a fast-paced project environment. Support innovation and continuous improvement in design practices. About you Degree-qualified engineer in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or similar (eligible for membership with Engineers Australia at MIE Aust level). Significant experience in mechanical engineering within heavy engineering, shipbuilding, or defence environments. For senior roles: proven ability to lead technical teams and deliver complex projects. Strong problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills. A passion for continuous learning and professional development. This role requires a current National Police Clearance, an Australian Defence Security Clearance and an ability to access protected US defence technology. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearances and approvals. Whilst ASC will accept all applications for this role, as this role requires an ability to access protected US defence technology, applicants holding nationality of certain foreign countries will not be eligible.
