The Derwent Valley Council area is characterised by historic townships, productive agriculture, picturesque rural landscapes, and spectacular world heritage wilderness areas. Located just 30 minutes from Hobart.The Director Valley Children''s Centre plays a pivotal leadership role in delivering highquality early education services across the Derwent Valley. The position is responsible for exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders, effective mentoring and supervision of Child Care team members, and ensuring full compliance with the Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations, the National Quality Standards (NQS), and all relevant legislation.In addition, the role requires strong financial acumen and the ability to manage the services operational budget to ensure longterm sustainability, transparency, and effective resource allocation. The successful candidate will demonstrate experience in analysing service utilisation, monitoring expenditure, forecasting staffing needs, and ensuring compliance with Child Care Subsidy (CCS) and Family Assistance Law requirements.
