About the Company Connecting Foster and Kinship Carers SA Inc. (CF&KC-SA) is the peak body representing foster and kinship carers in South Australia. CF&KC-SA exists to ensure carers are supported, connected, and heardbecause when carers thrive, children thrive. Through advocacy, advice, and collaboration, CF&KC-SA works to influence policy, strengthen the out-of-home care system, and deliver better outcomes for families. The organisation provides a comprehensive range of services designed to empower carers and amplify their voices. From advocacy and information sharing to carer support groups, reference groups, and information sessions, CF&KC-SA creates opportunities for connection and learning. It also delivers professional development initiatives, including a Diploma of Community Services, hosts a national conference, and engages legal professionals to support carers rights. CF&KC-SA is more than an organisationits a movement for change, and this is your opportunity to lead it. Role Overview As CEO, you will lead CF&KC-SAs strategic vision and operational performance, working closely with the Board to amplify the voice of carers where it matters most. This is a role for a leader who can combine purpose with pragmatismsomeone who can navigate complexity, champion systemic reform, and build strong relationships across government, community, and the child protection sector. You will oversee governance, compliance, and organisational growth, while fostering collaboration and innovation to meet the evolving needs of carers. Success in this role means creating an environment where carers feel supported and empowered, and where the organisation continues to be a trusted advocate and partner in shaping a better future for children and families. Key Responsibilities Advocate for carers and represent CF&KC-SA in high-level forums and consultationsDrive strategic planning and organisational development in collaboration with the BoardBuild strong relationships with government, sector stakeholders, and community partnersOversee governance, compliance, and financial sustainabilitySecure funding through grants and partnerships to support organisational priorities Culture of the Business CF&KC-SA is a highly respected peak body with a small, dedicated team united by a shared purpose: to make a difference for carers and the children they support.
