Full-time | $100,000 $125,000 + superannuation | Professional Employees Award Leadership Role | Career Progression | Dynamic Team Natural Area Consulting Management Services is seeking an experienced Senior Environmental Consultant to join our Perth-based environmental consulting team. This is a leadership role for a highly organised and technically capable environmental professional with strong knowledge of Western Australian flora, fauna, and regulatory frameworks. You will play a key role in delivering complex environmental projects across Western Australia, while mentoring and developing graduate and junior consultants. The position involves a balance of office-based work in Malaga and fieldwork across metropolitan and regional WA. The Opportunity As a Senior Environmental Consultant, you will report to the Principal Environmental Consultant and your responsibilities will include: Managing multiple environmental consulting projects from proposal through to completion, including scope, budget, scheduling, reporting, and closeout. Leading, mentoring, reviewing and providing feedback to junior and graduate consultants, fostering technical development and professional growth. Undertaking and overseeing flora, fauna, vegetation, and environmental surveys across WA bioregions. Preparing environmental reports, management plans, monitoring programmes, and regulatory documentation. Assisting with environmental approvals and compliance processes at local, state, and federal levels. Supporting business development activities, including client liaison, proposal preparation, and fee estimates. Contributing to a collaborative and highperforming consulting team. What are we looking for? Your qualification, licences, skills & experiences To be successful in this role, you should be able demonstrate the following skills & experiences: Project management skills & experience: Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, including budgets, schedules, and deliverables. Leadership capability: Experience mentoring and supervising graduate consultants and contributing to a positive team culture. Regulatory knowledge: Strong understanding of WA and Australian environmental legislation, approvals, and compliance processes. Communication skills: Excellent written and verbal communication, with experience preparing technical reports and clientfacing documentation. Technical proficiency: Competence in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook, Copilot) and familiarity with GIS and environmental data tools. Field experience: Handson experience conducting environmental fieldwork, site assessments, and monitoring programmes. Successful applicants must have the following qualifications: Bachelors degree (or higher) in Environmental Science or a related discipline. Minimum 5 years proven experience in environmental consulting, with a focus on WA flora and fauna. Current WA Manual Drivers Licence. National Australian Police Clearance. First Aid Certificate.
