Reporting to the CEO, the Head of Policy & Advocacy is a senior leadership position at the heart of the transformation that shapes and delivers SACOMEs strategic policy and advocacy agenda. The role leads the development of robust, evidencebased policy, builds and maintains strong relationships with members and key stakeholders, and ensures SACOMEs policy positions support the growth, competitiveness and longterm sustainability of South Australias resources sector. The Head of Policy & Advocacy also provides highlevel strategic advice, supports delivery of the organisations 2030 Vision, and champions a culture of excellence, collaboration, compliance and continuous improvement across the organisation. The successful candidate will be a strategic and influential policy leader with proven experience in complex policy development and advocacy. They will bring strong analytical capability, a deep understanding of legislative and regulatory frameworks, and the ability to anticipate emerging issues and develop proactive, evidencebased responses. Exceptional communication, negotiation and relationshipbuilding skills are essential, along with the capacity to operate effectively in a fastpaced environment, manage competing priorities, and work collaboratively with members, government, industry and other stakeholders. Tertiary qualifications and senior experience within government, industry or the resources sector will be highly regarded.
