The service provides beds across three campuses (Sale, Maffra and Heyfield). Acute services include a full-time emergency department, critical care unit, neonatal critical care unit, three operating theatres, day procedure unit, oncology and dialysis services in addition to general medical and services and sub-acute services including rehabilitation.CGH is also a leading teaching hospital, affiliated with Monash University''s School of Rural Health and provides placements and clinical experience for students.Challenging and rewarding work environmentOngoing training and development opportunitiesBest practice implementationAbout the RoleThe position provides medical services within the ED, but also crucial on-the-floor leadership to ED and hospital junior medical staff, i.e.: Interns, Hospital Medical Officers (HMOs), and International Medical Graduates (IMGs). This is achieved in conjunction with the Director of Emergency Services and other ED Senior Medical Officers.
