Reporting into the Group Manager, Education and Development, this is an opportunity to make a significant, enterprisewide impact by leading a futurefocused Learning and Development strategy that enables high performance, supports national compliance, and builds ongoing capability. Key responsibilities As our Head of Learning and Development, the successful candidate will: Set and lead the organisational Learning and Development strategy across the Sigma Healthcare group. Build capability for the future, partnering with senior leaders to identify skills gaps and drive targeted workforce development initiatives. Oversee design and delivery of innovative learning solutions, spanning leadership, technical, digital, compliance and frontline learning. Optimise learning technology, including systems governance, user experience and data analytics to measure impact and ROI. Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation and statutory training requirements. Lead and develop a highperforming Learning and Development team, fostering an inclusive, valuesdriven culture. Strengthen partnerships with external bodies, regulators and industry groups. Drive operational excellence, managing budgets, reporting, continuous improvement and scalable learning processes. This role is pivotal in championing a culture of continuous learning, supporting organisational transformation, and ensuring our people are empowered with the skills they need to thrive. We operate in a flexible, hybrid working way, with 4-days per week based at our Preston support office, and the option of working 1-day per week from home. Who are we looking for? To thrive in this position, the successful candidate will possess the following skills and experience: A track record leading Learning and Development in a large, complex, multisite organisation. Deep expertise in adult learning, instructional design, digital learning and modern learning technologies. Experience measuring learning impact, ROI, and using analytics to inform decisionmaking. Exceptional leadership skills to help mentor, coach and inspire a highperforming team. Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and relationshipbuilding capabilities. A proactive, commercial and solutionsfocused mindset. Resilience, adaptability and confidence navigating transformational change. The successful candidate will be required to complete a National Police Check.
