The Role As General Manager, you will be responsible for running and growing the business. Youll work closely with the Founder on strategy, partner with the existing team to improve systems and processes, and execute initiatives that drive sales growth in Australia and overseas. This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for someone who enjoys wearing multiple hats, making decisions, and turning strategy into action. Must Haves To be successful in this role, you will have: 5+ years experience in eCommerce or online retail Leadership experience (leading a team of 5+) Strong data & analytical skills with confidence using metrics to drive decisions Experience scaling operations and improving processes/systems Strong commercial and financial capability , including budget management and a focus on maintaining profitability as the business grows Key Responsibilities Team & Operations: Lead and manage a small team across marketing, operations, customer service, inventory management, product development, and warehouse operations Ensure day-to-day operations run smoothly and efficiently Improve internal processes, workflows, and communication across teams Set clear priorities, KPIs, and accountability Sales & Growth Work with the marketing team to grow online sales locally and internationally Help execute plans to expand product categories locally and scale international sales via 3PL providers Identify new opportunities for expansion including new channels and partnerships Analyse sales data and customer insights to inform decisions Support product launches, promotions, and growth initiatives Strategy & Execution Translate the Founders vision into practical plans and actions Build scalable systems to support growth Balance short-term execution with long-term business improvement Own and improve business performance across revenue, margin, costs and profitability Contribute ideas and take ownership of outcomes About You Youre likely someone who: Lives and breathes eCommerce Enjoys leading and developing people Is comfortable with both strategy and hands-on execution Understands online retail operations (advertising, website UX & conversion, inventory and fulfilment) Is commercially minded and data-driven Communicates clearly and confidently Thrives in a fast-moving, growing business environment Experience with international sales is a bonus but not essential.
