We have an opportunity for a PSV Company Bus Driver to join our team. Working hours: 07:0010:00 and 14:0017:00 daily. This is a 25hour contract. Onsite parking is available. Job purpose: A PSV Company bus driver is responsible for driving a passengercarrying vehicle (PCV) and providing good customer service and a safe and comfortable journey throughout the HATS bus network. Apply now About The Role Main Duties and Responsibilities Ensure safety and wellbeing of clients throughout the journey and handover. To ensure that highvisibility PPE is always worn in vehicle movement areas. To ensure that speed limits are observed within bus depots and school premises. Check the condition of the vehicle prior to commencing service, including carrying out the safety walkround check. Report any defect in the vehicle or equipment as soon as possible to the appropriate person. Complete the Vehicle Defect Card or enter the defect on the electronic ticket machine, depending on location. Ensure the vehicle is clean and tidy before starting service. Comply with company regulations regarding the use of mobile phones, smoking in company vehicles and the use of prohibited equipment while on duty. Take responsibility for health, safety, security, welfare, environmental and fire safety arrangements for yourself, customers and colleagues, including attendance at safety briefings and training as required. Report all safety accidents/incidents using the companys reporting procedure. Understand emergency and evacuation plans. Keep bus cab area safe and tidy. Provide a high standard of customer service. Share information that may help customers during their journey (e.g., road closures, diversions). Behave in a friendly and professional manner towards customers and colleagues. Recognise and assist with the additional needs of children, vulnerable adults, the elderly, infirm or disabled. Drive company vehicles safely, legally and professionally. Maintain the timetable, avoiding early or late departures when safely possible. Keep up to date with road closures, diversions or special events that may affect the service, through reading notices and attending briefings. Hold a valid driving licence and CPC licence at all times, available for inspection by staff. Work Environment Licence must be a D1 category with no restrictions and a current CPC licence. Licence medical renewals must be up to date. Any change that may affect entitlement to drive must be communicated to the line manager. Licence must be available for inspection every six months. Report for work at the correct time and location with the correct equipment. Observe the company dress code when on duty. Do not report for work when overtired or under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Follow notification procedures for absence from work. Report all safety, security, driving and customer service incidents to the line manager promptly. Report all incidents on the road that could affect the service, such as road closures, accidents, emergencies and highway repairs. Participate in a yearly appraisal. Provide feedback and ideas for service improvement to the line manager. Ensure adherence to all HATS policies and procedures. Undertake any reasonable request made by the company. Participate in working flexible hours with core periods between 07:0009:00 and 14:3016:30. Undertake additional work as the service needs dictate. The job holder follows instructed daily and weekly work schedules and reports to the Controller for incidents or problems. The job holders normal place of work is predominantly outdoor, transporting clients in varying weather, traffic and road conditions, requiring a safe and efficient approach at all times. #J-18808-Ljbffr
