Permanent Part Time & Casual Hours available 16 hours per week$29.57 per hour About the Role The Admission Office currently has an opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join our team. Our busy team processes planned admissions to Grampians Health Ballarat to ensure a seamless admission experience for patients. The role calls for applicants with a high degree of flexibility, attention to detail and willingness to learn. Key Responsibilities Facilitate patient admissions and movements in the Patient Administration System (PAS) for planned admissions. Validate insurance claim types, complete required documentation, and maintain compliance with data standards. Register new patients and maintain demographic data accuracy for existing patients. Deliver professional, compassionate customer service to patients and families. Protect confidentiality and uphold privacy policies. Work collaboratively with colleagues. Ability to work across Admission shifts (7 days/week) and roles and flexibility to accept additionalshifts. Ability to start work at 6.45am on weekdays when required. Skills & Experience Required Proven customer service experiencewith strong interpersonal and communication skills. Demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail, particularly in handling sensitive information. Advanced computer proficiency, including fast and accurate data entry and experience using multiple applications. Strong organisational and time management skillswith the ability to prioritise tasks effectively in a busy environment. (Desirable) Previous experience in a hospital or healthcare setting, or in a role involving patient administration or similar processes. Interested?
