Job Description SummaryThe Surgery Business Leader is accountable to lead GE HealthCare''s product portfolio across Australia & New Zealand. The leader drives coherent product differentiation, markets strategy, optimizes resources with the region to cover market potential, achieve the operating plan, grow market share, inform key stakeholders of evolving customer needs, and drive continuous product innovation adapted to local market needs. The leader has direct management of the Product Sales Specialists (PSS) and Clinical Applications Specialists, assists user coordination of One GEHC account activities in conjunction with Horizontal Leaders to maximise business results and customer satisfaction.Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Performance and Market ShareAccountable to achieve quarterly and yearly product P&L operating plan targets (orders, sales, contribution margin, base costs, operating margin and cash).Responsible for timely and accurate forecasting of pipeline and sales.Provide input to annual business planning cycles for assigned product.Accountable for overall territory strategy to optimise visibility, winrate and share in product portfolio.Customer, Market and Product ExpertiseContinuously develop deep clinical and technical knowledge and stay aware of trends in healthcare technology and funding mechanisms.Update understanding of customers'' changing clinical and operational challenges.Understand market dynamics and competition to develop business opportunities for PSS and account teams.Provide ongoing feedback to management, region and marketing.Engage with Product & Marketing to influence regional/global product roadmap.Create local brand awareness and marketing campaigns.Educate, coach and direct product portfolio differentiation (position, value proposition, pricing) for A & NZ.Maintain relationships with key opinion leaders and professional society stakeholders.Improve customer engagement, quality installations and NPI launches through collaboration with project management, field services and account teams.Validate uptodate product positioning and differentiation messages within PSS teams and relevant account teams.Go to MarketDetermine market potential for product lines and prioritise highimpact opportunities.Align territories to market potential and priorities for optimal sales resource allocation.Attract, retain, educate and develop worldclass commercial talent.Communicate operating plan targets based on product market potential to direct PSS team.Ensure compliance with regional sales process and rules of engagement with account managers and horizontal managers.Ensure all PSS have clear opportunity management activity and call plans.Ensure all team members utilise required sales systems to create pipeline visibility and assist accurate forecasting.Drive order and configuration quality at point of entry with CPQ team.Monitor and track opportunity progress in pipeline and forecast performance against operating plan.Deliver on fulfillment targets and order backlog commitments.Execute and leverage variable sales incentive plans with the team.Team CoachingDrive performance management within the team and manage the annual appraisal system.Provide regular coaching sessions with each team member on territory coverage, differentiation and value presentation.Create opportunities to share best practices on opportunity management.Model team use of GEHC resources and networks to create and manage opportunities.Provide regular updates on company, region product strategies and customer insights.Coach PSS and CS on product differentiation throughout the sales process.One GEHC TeamworkDrive employee engagement activities and recognise success across the zone.Act as a role model for collaborative mindset across functions.Educate team members on product/service strategy and offerings.Facilitate effective communication and trustful collaboration within the zone/product matrix organization.Share and followup identified leads to other product lines within own accounts or One GEHC accounts.Modality Manager acts as primary product customer point of contact for multiproduct projects and crossP&L business events.ComplianceAdhere to highest standards of promotion compliance for international and local regulations and GE HealthCare promotional codes.Adhere to all applicable GE and GE HealthCare promotion compliance policies, codes and training requirements.Identify and report any quality or compliance promotion concerns and take immediate corrective action.Quality Specific GoalsComply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Management System, Policy and applicable laws and regulations.Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within defined deadlines.Maintain knowledge of Global Privacy, AntiCompetition, Environmental Health and GE HealthCare EHS policies.Drive continuous improvement on related processes and procedures to standardise and simplify the Quality Management System.Required QualificationsBachelor''s degree level.Experienced in sales/marketing in progressive leadership positions within the healthcare industry with indepth market knowledge and decisionmaker relationships.Demonstrated business management and resource allocation skills including business plan development.Strong knowledge of GEHC and exceptional knowledge of products and services within the modality.Exemplary people management, leadership, sales coaching and team building skills.Strong business acumen; financial and organisational skills.Advanced negotiation, problemsolving and influencing skills.High level presentation and interpersonal skills; communicate and present ideas that build strategic relationships.Ability to energise, develop and build rapport, collaboration and influence at all levels.Act as inspirational leader with optimism, highly approachable and humble.Handle multitasking, dynamic environment with a customerfirst attitude.Preferred QualificationsFluency in English language.Previous healthcare experience.Direct and/or indirect management experience; managing in a matrix organisation.Strong track record in hightechnology product sales/solutions.Technical and clinical expertise in imaging modalities, surgery background preferred.Demonstrated business management and resources allocation skills including business plan
