As an Estimator, you will prepare accurate, competitive cost estimates across a range of civil works, helping ensure profitability while supporting Unytes continued expansion.Youll work closely with bid managers, project management, procurement and operations teams to develop winning tenders and robust delivery strategies.Your EverydayReview tender documents and manage quantity take-offsPrepare detailed estimates using Expert Estimation softwareDevelop construction methodologies and staging plansLiaise with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricingIdentify risks and opportunities and propose innovative solutionsParticipate in tender reviews and client negotiationsSupport onboarding and mentoring of junior estimatorsWork with Construction Managers to develop first-principle estimates and validate buildability assumptionsProactively communicate with Bid Managers to shape compelling tenders aligned with client objectivesMy skills and confidence have significantly grown since I joined, they heavily invest in their people and culture, and it shows with the quality people I interact with day to day.About YouYoure an experienced civil estimator who enjoys working through complex scopes and contributing to high-quality, competitive bids.Your background will include:Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a related discipline (preferred)5+ years experience in civil estimating and tender preparationStrong understanding of construction methods, material costs and industry standardsA passion for first-principles estimating to drive accuracy and valueProficiency with estimating software and Microsoft OfficeA collaborative, adaptable approach with strong communication skillsReporting toGareth BainesGeneral ManagerYoull report to Gareth Baines, a highly respected civil construction leader who has learned the industry from the ground up.
