We are a high-performing team united by a shared purpose and driven by a growth mindset.The OpportunityWe are seeking a Business Systems and Assurance Manager to design, embed, and maintain GVGs fit-for-purpose governance, reporting, and assurance operating system. This is a strategic role intended to empower managers to run their areas with lower risk, higher consistency, and better productivity without unnecessary red tape.You will serve as the architect of the "GVG Management System", providing the guidance, standards, and risk-based assurance that make the system work while supporting Department Directors and SMEs who remain the owners of their processes. You will design a fit-for-purpose framework that drives lower risk, higher consistency, and better productivity without unnecessary red tape. Your work will not only streamline our system and processes but also support GVGs leadership team in meeting critical governance, assurance and reporting obligations.Core ResponsibilitiesSystems Architecture - Map the management system at a practical level, defining minimum standards for templates, version control, and evidence requirementsRisk-Based Assurance - Build and implement an efficient assurance plan (audits/reviews) that prevents rework and surprises without simple "box-ticking"KPI & Monitoring - Partner with SMEs to define "one reliable source of truth" for data, establishing indicators that drive meaningful decisionsExternal Governance - Coordinate inputs for external obligations, including bank reporting packs and the design of ESG monitoring and reporting systemsEnablement - Drive a culture of understanding by making systems easy to navigate, ensuring staff see the value in systems that save time and reduce reworkWho We Are Looking ForExperience - You possess 812+ years of experience across systems, assurance, risk, compliance, or quality systemsSystems Thinker - You can design simple architectures that scale and exhibit commercial judgement to balance risk with productivityStakeholder Expert - Ability to guide and support Directors and SMEsData Disciplined - You are comfortable with data definitions, controls, and maintaining a clear audit trailCalm Conviction - You can hold firm on standards when it matters most but remain flexible when it doesntWhat We OfferAt GVG, we offer more than just a job.
