The position is genuine, full-time, and requires a skilled cook capable of independently preparing and cooking food in a commercial kitchen environment while maintaining high food safety and quality standards.Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe Cook will perform the following skilled duties on a regular basis:Prepare, season, and cook food items including burgers, fried chicken, sides, and sauces in accordance with established recipes and business standardsPlan and organise food preparation to meet daily service requirementsMonitor food quality at all stages of preparation, cooking, and serviceEnsure consistency in portion control, taste, and presentationOperate and maintain commercial kitchen equipment such as grills, fryers, and preparation appliancesAssist with menu planning and development of new food items when requiredMaintain appropriate stock levels and assist with ordering and stock rotationEnsure food is stored and handled in compliance with food safety regulationsMaintain a clean, safe, and hygienic kitchen environment in accordance with WHS and food safety standardsMinimise food wastage and follow cost control proceduresSupervise and assist with training junior kitchen staff as requiredSkills and Experience RequiredRelevant qualification in Commercial Cookery (Certificate III or higher)OR at least 2 years of relevant full-time work experience as a CookProven experience in a commercial kitchen, preferably within a burger, fried chicken, or fast-casual restaurantDemonstrated knowledge of cooking techniques, food preparation, and kitchen operationsSound understanding of Australian food safety and hygiene regulationsAbility to work independently and under pressure in a fast-paced environmentStrong organisational and time management skillsAbility to work flexible hours including weekends and public holidaysSalary and ConditionsAnnual Salary: AUD $76,600 $77,600Employment is ongoing and subject to Australian workplace lawsJob Type: Full-timePay: From $76,600.00 per yearBenefits:Employee discountFree foodWork Location: In person
