Select how often (in days) to receive an alert: MCU Operator / Charge up Operator Date: 9 Jan 2026 Company: Orica About Orica About the role We are currently seeking applications for the role for both Experienced Charge Up Operators and Trainee Charge Up Operators (MCU) at various sites in South Australia. The role will operate on a FIFO (from Adelaide) or DIDO (South Australia) basis on an 8 days on 6 days off roster. The main objective of the Charge Up operator will be to operate underground production charging unit, in doing so providing a quality service in the delivery of bulk explosives to blast areas in a safe and productive manner. What you will be doing First and foremost, demonstrating and setting the example of our key company value: ''Safety is our Priority, Always''; Duties including Magazine Management; Conducting routine inspections and performing minor maintenance of fixed and mobile plants; Assisting with the training and mentoring of new team members; Working in tight unison with the Drill and Blast Team; At all times acting with integrity and respect. What you will bring Heavy rigid (HR) vehicle license; Ability to obtain a national police clearance check; A commitment and attitude toward Safety, Health and Environment; Basic mechanical comprehension is highly advantageous; Exposure to operating heavy plant, equipment and machinery is advantageous but not essential.
