With more than 2000 branch offices and over employees, we make a difference every day, all year round.Job DescriptionAbout the RoleThe Melbourne-based Physical security specialist is responsible for day-to-day operations and compliance with the site''s secure zones. This includes physical access management, contractor supervision, system monitoring, incident response, and enforcing security protocols.The role also contributes to broader ANZ physical security efforts, supporting projects, audits, awareness campaigns, and compliance initiatives. The position operates independently on-site while working closely with key local stakeholders and the ANZ physical security team, reporting to the Australia and New Zealand Physical Security Manager.The successful applicant will be required work from the Melbourne Office from Monday to Friday. Please note that some after hours calls and meetings will be required for the position.Key ResponsibilitiesAccess & Identity ManagementIssue and program access cards, including activation trackingConduct new starter security inductions (access, PEDs, safes)Review access logs for anomalies or out-of-hours activitySecurity Operations & MonitoringOperate and monitor Access Control Systems and Video Management SystemsPerform daily system health checks and device status reviewsConduct mobile phone audits and arming/disarming activity reviewsPerform regular alarm system tests, panic button checks, and secure zone walkthroughsAct as first responder to security incidents and alarms, including after hoursInvestigate and report incidents using approved internal escalation proceduresCompliance, Audit & ReportingMaintain and audit visitor logs, key registers, and secure containersAssist with internal and external (regulatory) compliance auditsIdentify procedural gaps or risks and propose improvements to the ANZ managerStakeholder Support & ANZ Security InitiativesSupervise and escort contractors and service providers as requiredLiaise with IT, Facilities, and business units to support secure zone readinessCoordinate weekend power shutdowns and generator testingAct as local Fire Warden and emergency response contactParticipate in simulated threat or penetration testing exercisesSupport security awareness campaigns and ANZ-wide project initiativesDesired Skills And ExperienceSkills, Experience and Requirements:Hold an active Australian Government Security ClearanceHold a current VIC Security licenceCurrent First Aid Certificate (HLTAID011 and HLTAID010) and CPR Certificate (HLTAID009)Experience in a similar role requiredDemonstrate required IT knowledge of platforms and softwareCertificate or Degree in Security (IT or Management) or Business advantageousAbility to work autonomously and/or in a teamBenefits And PerksFull Time PositionJoin a Global Security CompanyCareer Progression OpportunitiesDiversity and Inclusion:At Securitas, we embrace diversity and are committed to providing equal employment opportunities for all.
