OverviewWork Type: Fixed-term - Full-timeSalary: $97,955 - $111,142Grade: VPS 4Occupation: IT and telecommunicationsLocation: Melbourne - CBD and Inner Metro suburbsReference: VG/ TAbout the role:The Senior Analyst role is positioned in the Countering Violent Extremism (CVE) Unit of the Counter Terrorism Command. Reporting to a Sergeant, you will be responsible for the holistic collation, evaluation and analysis of a broad range of sensitive information and intelligence on behalf of the unit. As a Senior Analyst you will be required to regularly liaise with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, maintain a sound understanding of the current CT environment and produce varied written reports.Victoria Police is a contemporary and agile workplace and supports flexible working arrangements.Your duties will include:Undertaking the evaluation, collation, analysis and controlled dissemination of sensitive information and intelligence.Compile high level reports and intelligence products, which clearly and accurately identity trends and issues and which articulate high quality recommendations.Liaising and developing effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Maintaining a comprehensive knowledge of intelligence information processes especially related to contemporary CT trends.Utilise a variety of computer systems and applications to collect, manage, maintain and deliver intelligence and information to the work unit and the broader command.Collate statistical data for compliance reports.About You:The successful candidate will ideally have the following skills and experience:Highly developed oral and written communication skills, with the proven ability to manage and engage with a range of stakeholders.The ability to work in a dynamic, small team environment of both sworn and VPS employees.Be self-motivated, and be able to successfully work both autonomously and within a team environmentPossess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to synthesise large amounts of data and information.The ability to work well under pressure to strict deadlines.Relevant qualification desirable: Intelligence courseFurther Information:One (1) x full-time position, fixed term until 30-Jun-2027This position is located at Victoria Police Centre, 311 Spencer Street, Docklands.The successful applicant will be required to undergo National Security Vetting, achieve and maintain a security classification as determined by the Department Head.
