Senior Small Engine Mechanic Full-TimeHenderson Mowers is a leading outdoor power equipment retailer and authorised service centre, supporting residential, commercial, and industrial customers across Victoria and beyond. We are seeking an experienced and qualified Small Engine Mechanic to join our workshop team on a full-time basis.This role is ideally suited to a mechanic who takes pride in diagnosing and repairing equipment efficiently, maintaining high standards, and keeping jobs moving without compromising quality.ABOUT THE ROLEAs a Senior Small Engine Mechanic at Henderson Mowers, you will work across a diverse range of petrol, diesel, and battery-powered equipment. The machinery you service ranges in value from approximately $150 to $70,000, offering real variety and technical challenge.We service and repair equipment from leading brands including Toro, Honda, Stihl, MTD, Cub Cadet, and more. Henderson Mowers is also expanding into quad bikes and UTV vehicles, including Segway products. Experience in this area is advantageous but not essential.WHAT SETS THIS ROLE APARTWe are currently building a new, purpose-designed workshop facility, scheduled to be operational in Q3 2026, featuring:Dedicated individual work baysMultiple vehicle and equipment hoistsA wash bay for proper pre- and post-service workflowImproved layout to support faster turnaround times and better job flowKEY RESPONSIBILITIESDiagnose and repair petrol, diesel, and battery-powered equipment efficientlyManage servicing and repair jobs with a focus on turnaround time and qualityWork across mowers, outdoor power equipment, quad bikes, and UTVsMaintain accurate service records and job documentationUphold workshop cleanliness, safety, and professional standardsCommunicate clearly with customers regarding faults, repairs, and timelinesSupport a productive team environment and lead by exampleABOUT YOUFormal qualification as a Small Engine Mechanic (essential)Strong hands-on experience with petrol and diesel enginesPassion for fixing equipment properly and efficientlyOrganised, disciplined, punctual, and reliableStrong written and verbal communication skillsConfident using computers for job management and parts lookupExperience with battery-powered equipmentExperience with quad bikes or UTVs (advantageous)Current, valid driver''s licenceAbility to provide work-related referencesEMPLOYMENT DETAILSFull-Time positionHours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am 5:00pmLunch break: 1 hourPay rate: $30 $39 per hour, based on experience and capabilityStart date: Within the next few weeksOpportunities to work Saturdays at penalty rates if required.LOCATION1125 Latrobe Street, Delacombe VICTRAINING & DEVELOPMENTBrand-specific training daysOngoing exposure to new technologies, including battery and powersports equipmentOpportunity to grow with a business investing in infrastructure and capabilityIf you are an experienced mechanic who takes pride in fast, accurate diagnostics and efficient, high-quality repairs, we would love to hear from you.only successful applicants will be notified.Job Type: Full-timePay: $30.00 $40.00 per hourExpected hours: 38 40 per weekWork Location: In person
