You will be working Monday - Thursday 6AM- 2.30PM and Fridays 6AM - 12PM.Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Day Shift Fitter will form part of the maintenance team and will be responsible for:Work with the Maintenance Supervisor to ensure that plant performance and other targets are achieved across the operationFollow maintenance plans within the Weekly Maintenance Plan Process as instructed by Maintenance SupervisorUse your skills as an Tradesmen effectively so that budgeted plant performance is achievedIdentify and contribute improvement ideas.Where applicable contribute to the daily planning processBe "cost focussed" by ensuring equipment is maintained effectively.Display ownership of the equipment you work on "treat it like you own it".What you bring to the roleMechanical trade license or similar (Fitter/turner, Boilermaker, Plant mechanic, HV Diesel Mechanic) that has previous experience as a Fitter within a manufacturing environmentPrevious exposure within industrial manufacturing with routine & breakdown experienceConfined spaced & WAH - preferredDogging DesirableStrong safety focusSAP maintenance system proficiency would be advantageous, training will be provided as required.First Aid, Forklift, and Elevated Work Platform certificationsExcellent communication skills both verbal and writtenA hands-on attitude, strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work both autonomously & as part of a teamWhat we offerWe strive to support your professional and personal growth.
