We work alongside young people aged 1225, supporting their mental health, primary health, and overall wellbeing. Our teams champion equity, cultural safety, and personcentred care ensuring young people feel heard, respected, and supported.Your role, your impactAs the Youth Health Clinic Lead Nurse, you''ll play a pivotal role in building safe, highquality, and inclusive health services for young people at various sites across Australia. You''ll shape clinical excellence, strengthen nursing practice, and support teams delivering care to young people with diverse and sometimes complex needs.Your work will have lasting impact supporting young people to access timely care, improving clinical governance, and helping build a national model of youth-friendly, culturally safe health services.Key responsibilities:Lead highquality youth-focused nursing care delivering evidence-based clinical practice for young people with moderate to complex mental health needsSupport and guide nursing staff across multiple clinic sites providing daytoday leadership, mentoring, and clinical directionDrive safe and effective service delivery working with the Practice Manager, Lead GP, and Program Stream Manager to uphold clinical governanceAct as a clinical resource and role model supporting decision-making, escalation of care, and best-practice approachesCoordinate clinical workflows including triage, recall systems, GP management plans, screening procedures, and case conferencesChampion culturally safe, youth-friendly care ensuring care is welcoming, inclusive, affirming, and responsiveBuild nursing capability providing discipline-specific supervision, supporting student placements, and strengthening practice developmentOversee safety, quality, and compliance audits, accreditation, policies, and risk mitigation across Youth Health Clinic sitesCollaborate with internal and external partners universities, peak bodies, community organisations, and broader Each programsAbout youYou''re a values-led, compassionate, and skilled nurse who centres young people in every decision. You are confident, collaborative, grounded in evidence-based practice, and committed to culturally safe, inclusive healthcare.You have:Bachelor''s Degree in Nursing (Division 1 Registered Nurse) and current AHPRA registrationDemonstrated experience delivering youth-focused nursing careSkills in intake, screening, risk assessment, and health promotion with young peopleWarm, inclusive communication style that supports diverse communitiesStrong organisational and clinical documentation skillsAbility to use (or learn) clinical systems such as Episoft, Medical Director, Best Practice, Pracsoft, and Microsoft OfficeCurrent driver''s licenceWhat will make you stand outPost-graduate qualifications in adolescent health, mental health nursing, or sexual reproductive health (highly regarded)Experience in general practice or youth mental health settingsExperience leading practice development or clinical supervisionWhat''s in it for youAt Each you''ll be supported to be your best.
