Update profile visibilityWe are seeking a Part time Scientific Officer to join our dedicated team within Adelaide Airport, South Australia.ResponsibilitiesParticipate in the day-to-day operation of the laboratory as part of a dedicated team.Perform general Microbiology work and maintain instrumentation and equipment.Ensure compliance with accreditation and quality assurance requirements.Demonstrate flexibility, punctuality, initiative and the ability to work with minimal supervision.Required Skills and QualificationsDiploma or Degree in Laboratory Science or an AIMS accredited equivalent as a minimum.Relevant experience and qualification in Microbiology, including culture plate reading to identify bacteria, performing and reporting antibiotic susceptibility testing, familiarity with current reporting guidelines, experience in microscopy (e.g., gram staining), and experience in troubleshooting equipment.High attention to detail and experience working in a fast-paced environment.Ability to multitask and work effectively as part of a team.Exceptional communication, time management and organisational skills.Ability to contribute towards delivery of customer-focused services.Own transport and availability for weekend and evening rosters including public holidays; evening roster required.Applicants must address the criteria in their application.Employee Benefits8 weeks paid parental leave*Access to savings on everyday expenses (phone, fuel, groceries, fashion, restaurants, entertainment)Advice on healthy living across topics like money, work, mind, body and lifeFree and confidential counselling supportDiscounted health insuranceTraining and development opportunities*Service conditions applyAbout usAustralian Clinical Labs (Clinical Labs) is committed to being the pathology provider of choice.
