You will be joining St Vincents as we launch our exciting new vision Bringing Care Home, which will take the best of St Vincents care beyond our hospitals and aged care homes directly into the homes of our communities across the country, making care more personal and accessible. As the Head of Communications Care Services , you will report directly to the National Director of Communications and Brand with a dotted line to the CEO of St Vincent''s Care Services, and will be responsible for shaping and executing strategic communications across our aged care division in this national portfolio. In this role, you will be a trusted advisor and key partner to the Care Services Executive Leadership team, providing high-level strategic counsel while working hands-on to drive both internal and external communications. You will be responsible for developing a national communications and engagement strategy that enhances the visibility, reputation, and voice of St Vincents in the aged care sector. This is an exciting permanent full-time opportunity based out of our Brisbane Group Office, located in Bowen Hills QLD. There may be a requirement to work outside standard business hours and travel interstate occasionally as part of this role. Whats on your resume is important, but whats in your heart matters more. Key responsibilities Lead Strategic Communications: Develop and implement an integrated communications strategy for the Aged Care Division, including residential aged care, retirement villages, and home care. Support local storytelling and effective two-way communication between national and local teams. Cultivate a High-Performing Team: Lead, mentor, and empower a small, dynamic team. Set a clear vision, support professional growth, and foster a culture of excellence and collaboration. Drive Collaboration and Alignment: Create a unified voice across the organisation. Collaborate with colleagues in media, advocacy, digital, and marketing to ensure our messaging is consistent, impactful, and aligned with the One St Vincent''s narrative. Influence National Strategy: As a senior leader within the Public Affairs and Communications (PAC) team, contribute to delivering St Vincents national strategy. Be part of a multi-jurisdictional communications function that advances our mission nationally. Navigate Sensitive Issues: Work with the broader team to handle sensitive issues and support executive communications. Protect and enhance St Vincents reputation in a dynamic, high-pressure environment. Shape Our Digital Presence: Oversee internal and external digital channels, working with the Social Media Manager to bring our stories to life. From the intranet and website to executive messaging and staff forums, help shape how our community stays informed and connected. Qualifications & experience Demonstrated experience in communications, media, or corporate affairs, with success in a senior strategic role within a complex, multi-site organisation. Extensive experience advising CEOs and senior executive teams on high-level communication strategies. Experience developing and implementing integrated communications strategies in dynamic, high-pressure environments. Professional qualifications in a relevant field, such as a bachelors degree in communications or media. Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to lead and influence without direct authority.
