This is a Full Time, Fixed Term (24 months) position. While WFH/Hybrid options are available, our hybrid working model does require all employees to maintain a presence at an AV corporate facility (locations: Blackburn, Doncaster and various regional locations).About The RoleReporting to the Legal Counsel Employment & Industrial Relations, responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:Working with all levels of AV management to advise on employment mattersAutonomously managing litigious and non-litigious employment matters, with the support and guidance of Legal Counsel Employment and Industrial Relations (where required and/or appropriate)Drafting and reviewing a range of correspondence and legal documents, including briefing notes, employment contracts, AV policies, procedures, and industrial instrumentsIdentifying and advising on systemic legal risks within People & Culture and the Professional Standards DepartmentUpskilling and training of employees in People and Culture and the Professional Standards DepartmentPromoting early intervention strategies to ensure governance and compliance with AV policiesAbout YouTo be considered for this position you will possess:Completion of a tertiary degree in Law, with high level relevant experience in the areas of employment, industrial relations and/or occupational health and safety.Current Victorian legal practising certificateExperience in managing multiple matters simultaneouslyAbility to translate complex legal concepts into clear, concise and practical adviceStrong interpersonal, negotiating and influencing skillsHighly developed written and oral communication skills with strong attention to detailIntegrity and sound judgement, particularly in relation to confidential or sensitive employment mattersWorking at Ambulance VictoriaAs a valued member of AV you will enjoy a professional working environment that recognises the importance of work/life balance.
