About the role As a Technical Officer (TGO1 / TGO2), youll be part of a welcoming, collaborative laboratory team that plays a vital role in supporting patient care across South Australia. Each day offers variety, purpose and handson work, as you apply your technical skills, practical knowledge and attention to detail to pathology testing and laboratory activities. Working independently or alongside experienced colleagues, youll help deliver accurate, timely results while continuing to build your capability through shared learning and onthejob experience within SA Pathology. At the TGO2 level, this role provides the opportunity to step into greater responsibility, applying technical judgement, contributing to service improvements and leading minor technical projects. Youll work closely with scientific, medical and operational teams, as well as external partners, to solve problems, clarify testing requirements and keep laboratory services running smoothly. About you Youre a motivated and reliable Technical Officer who enjoys working in a laboratory environment and takes pride in producing highquality, accurate work. Roles are available at TGO1 and TGO2 level, with appointment made based on your qualifications, experience and demonstrated capability. Diploma or Advanced Diploma in a recognised laboratory or technical qualification (or equivalent), with developing experience for TGO1 or more advanced capability for TGO2 Laboratory experience suited to your level, with sound knowledge of laboratory principles, quality systems and Work Health and Safety practices Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a positive, customerfocused approach to teamwork and service delivery Well organised and adaptable, able to prioritise workloads with limited supervision and, at TGO2 level, apply technical judgement, support others and contribute to projects or service improvements About us Statewide Clinical Support Services (SCSS) is a unique public healthcare organisation that serves health consumers and provides specialist clinical services to the health system in South Australia.
